Stock Pot Stoves
Stock pot stoves are basically powerful giant open burner units; low tech but also very low cost. The most common model is the single top grate unit. Stock pot stoves are used to prepare foods in large pots called stock pots, hence the name. Stock pots vessels come in many sizes from 20 to 120 quarts and 12" to 22" diameters.
Menu items prepared on stock pot stoves vary greatly but generally are sauces, soups, pasta; regional items such as crabs, gumbos, crayfish, chili, etc.
